Families visiting Las Vegas now have more choices than ever. Hotels are building thrill rides and roller coasters and most offer some sort of supervised children’s activities and child care. Circus Circus may be the best family hotel in Las Vegas, if for no other reason its low prices that appeal to budget-conscious families. It also provides an actual circus act that is worth seeing, and is on the Strip and thus near the erupting volcano and pirate show that are popular with families.
The Excalibur also caters to families. Two must-sees for the family: the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace, in which a three-story high, moving Trojan horse guards the entrance to a massive FAO Schwartz toy store; and the wildlife habitat at the MGM.
For those families who stick to chain hotels, you're in luck. Vegas has them -- and in all price ranges.
Hotels that are located off the Strip are ideal for families as well. In addition to free and close parking, the hotels are small enough to ensure your kids won't get lost. This is a risk you have to take staying at the larger casino hotels. If keeping your children in close proximity is the key to your family vacation, you might try staying at the The Holiday Inn Emerald Isle or the Quality Inn Key Largo.
